If you're wondering what to make first, here are 6 Jesmonite projects I would love to share. These are all things I’ve made (many times!) and seen students fall in love with during our Jesmonite workshops in Dubai.

1. Jesmonite Trays

One of the most popular starter projects — and for good reason. You can make round, oval, or rectangular trays that are perfect for candles, keys, jewelry, or even coffee tables. With Jesmonite pigments and terrazzo flakes, you can create endless styles.

Tip: Use our large oval or arch molds to create statement trays that feel high-end.

2. Coasters

These are quick, satisfying, and super giftable. You can experiment with color pours, marbling, or even terrazzo-style patterns. They’re flat, easy to sand, and don’t take much material.

Perfect for: Beginners who want to try different color pigment mixes without wasting jesmonite material.

3. Candle Holders

Jesmonite is heat-resistant and naturally matte, which makes it ideal for candle holders. You can make small tealight holders or multi-arm candle stands using silicone molds. Add gold foil or pastels to get a trendy look.

Pro tip: Seal with Jesmonite sealer to protect from candle wax and moisture.

4. Plant Pots & Mini Vases

These are a favorite in our Jesmonite workshops. You can make small desk-sized planters, arch vases, or pillar-style pots. They look amazing with terrazzo effects or soft earthy tones.

Decor idea: Match pot colors with your room palette for a cohesive modern vibe.

5. Bookends & Shelf Decor

Jesmonite is strong, so it works great for chunky pieces like bookends or display blocks. Use geometric or arch molds and try bold colors or two-tone effects. These instantly make a shelf look styled.

Fun idea: Mix two pigment colors side by side in the same mold for a layered look.

6. Wall Hooks & Key Holders

Yes, you can actually screw into Jesmonite! It holds metal parts well, so you can make wall hooks, key racks, or small trays with attached hangers. Very functional and looks amazing in entryways.

Note: Let it cure fully and seal before hanging or using screws.
