Description

Stearic Acid for Candle Making

Enhances the quality and performance of candles

Hardens Wax– It increases the firmness of the wax, making candles more durable and less prone to bending or warping.

Improves Burn Time – Candles with stearic acid tend to burn longer by reducing the amount of wax consumed by the wick.

Enhances Opacity – It helps create a whiter, more opaque candle, which is especially useful for decorative designs.

Boosts Fragrance Retention – It allows candles to hold and release scents more effectively over time.

Aids Mold Release – It makes it easier to remove candles from molds without cracks or damage.

Added at a ratio of 5-10% of the total wax weight, depending on the desired effect. It works well with paraffin and vegetable waxes like soy and rapeseed.

All details and recommendations above are intended as a general guide to assist new users. This guide serves as a helpful starting point for candle makers, but actual performance may vary depending on vessel diameter, fragrance type and load, colorants, additives, and production methods. For best results, customers must conduct their own test burns to determine the correct wick size and ensure safe, satisfactory performance. Resin Art Hub provides these guidelines for reference only and cannot guarantee outcomes based on this chart.
