Platinum-cure silicones are highly sensitive and will fail to cure (remain sticky) if they come into contact with certain materials. 

Avoid contact with:

  • Sulfur-based clays (use plastiline/wax-based clays instead)

  • Tin-cure silicones or tools contaminated with them

  • Latex gloves/rubber bands (always use Nitrile gloves)

  • Certain 3D-printing resins, sulfur-containing pigments, and heavy metals

Always perform a small patch-test on a new master model before pouring your full mold.
