Kerawax 3658 Stearic Acid

Kerawax 3658 Stearic Acid is a high-purity stearic acid product produced by Kerax, typically used as an additive in candle formulations and other manufacturing processes. It’s responsibly sourced and suitable for vegan/vegetarian formulations.

Stearic acid itself is a saturated fatty acid (octadecanoic acid) — a white solid chemical with a long carbon chain that’s used widely in cosmetics, soaps, candles, and industrial products. 

Appearance: White solid at room temperature.

Congealing/Melting Point: About 51 – 54 °C.

-Increases firmness and structural stability of candles.

 -Helps candles hold shape in warmer conditions and improves performance.

-Can promote a slower, cleaner burn with less dripping and tunnelling.

 -Improves opacity and surface finish, and can help colour distribution and scent throw.

Typically, stearic acid is added in the range of about 5–15 % by weight of the wax, depending on desired effects.

• Avoid skin or eye contact and inhalation of vapours/fumes (especially when melted).

• Work in a well-ventilated area.

• Wear protective gear (gloves, goggles) when handling hot material.
