For a 7cm jar with soy container wax, ECO 6 or ECO 8 are common starting points depending on fragrance load. Use the calculator, then test.
Should I use double wicks for wide jars?
Often yes. Wide jars can burn more evenly with 2 wicks, and very wide jars may need 3 wicks.
Why is my candle tunneling?
Tunneling usually means the wick is too small or the first burn was too short. Try one size up and ensure the first burn reaches the edges.
Why is my wick mushrooming or creating soot?
Usually the wick is too large or needs trimming. Try one size down and keep the wick trimmed to 5mm before each burn.
